How to make round boxes - Favor boxes templates

In today's post, I show you how to make round boxes using my boxes templates for Cricut, Silhouette and to cut with scissors and craft knife.

These round boxes come in two sizes (Large and small) and the best of all is that you can make the boxes with cardstock or acetate like me!

What you need to make the round boxes

- Round Boxes Templates

- 80 lb cardstocks 

- Acetate sheets

- Cricut or Silhouette cameo or scissors and craft knife

- Craft glue (Here is a similar glue)

- Double-sided transparent tape

- Bone folder

- Craft knife and mat

- Scissors

- Optional: Foam tape, vinyl stickers, rhinestone stickers 

How to cut the round boxes templates

Cutting machines:

CRICUT

- Upload the SVG Files in Cricut design space.

-  If you have a scoring wheel or scoring stylus, make sure to use the SVG files with solid lines and remember to set up the score lines, before sending to cut. Check out my tutorial to learn how to set up score lines in cricut design design space.

Dashed lines are intended to be cut, so you don’t need any scoring tool.

SILHOUETTE CAMEO

- Upload the DXF file in Silhouette studio.

- I recommend using the DXF file with dashed lines.

By hand:

- To cut by hand, I recommend using the PDF file. 

- The PDF file template comes in Letter size paper.

Instructions:

1. Print all the pieces of the template on white paper. 

2. Trace on card stocks and acetate.

3. Score along the lines using a bone folder. 

4. Cut the template with scissors. TIP: Use a craft knife to cut the small pieces.

The Round Boxes Templates come in two sizes large and small! 

Templates includes a SVG file for Cricut, DXF file for Silhouette cameo, PDF and PNG files to cut with scissors and craft knife.

You can use the templates with Letter size cardstock paper (8.5" X11") or A4 size cardstock paper.

Please note this is a blank template, so it does not include the images or pattern. You can decorate the box with the theme of your choice.

How to unzip the files?

The files come in a zipped folder, you need to unzip or extract the files to your computer. 

• Mac: just double click the zipped folder to unzip it. 
• Windows PC, right click the zipped folder and choose Extract Here.
• Mobile or tablet: you will probably need an app to extract the file.

How to resize the round boxes?

Make sure to group all the pieces of the template to resize the boxes, check out this tutorial to resize the boxes in cricut design space.
