Hexagon Box template with shaker lid - Favor Box Template

We have a new shaker box template! 

The Hexagon Box template with shaker lid is new type of box template that we are really excited to show you!

This favor box is very tall and you can add many treats or goodies to the box!

SUPPLIES

- Hexagon Box Template with shaker lid

- Cutting machine: Cricut or Silhouette, or Scissors and craft knife

- Acetate sheets 

- Silicone glue for the acetate (Similar glue)

- Ultra fine tip bottle (Similar bottle, check out the tips below)

- Precision Craft Glue

- 65 lb Card stocks or 80 lb card stocks 

- 5mm Double sided transparent tape

- 10mm Double sided tape

- Non-Stick scissors

- Foam beads, confetti, sequins, etc

- Cricut tools

- Mat

- Bone folder

- Optional: Foam tape

FIND THE SHAKER HEXAGON BOX TEMPLATE

The Hexagon Box template with shaker lid comes in SVG file for Cricut, DXF file for Silhouette, PDF and PNG file to cut with scissors.

You can cut the template in Letter size paper or A4 size paper.

Please note this is a blank template, so it does not include the images or pattern. You can decorate the box with the theme of your choice.

TIPS: 

- How to unzip The template comes in a zipped folder, you need to unzip the files to your computer.

• Mac: just double click the zipped folder to unzip it. 
• Windows PC, right click the zipped folder and choose Extract Here or Extract All.
• Phone or tablet: You will probably need an app to extract the files.

- For best results, I recommend using 80 lb cardstock, but you could also use 65 lb cardstock.

- To use the ultra fine tip bottle, I filled the bottle with 70% silicone glue and 30% rubbing alcohol. I combined them to make the glue more liquid to pass through the ultra fine tip.

- If you want to resize the SVG file in Cricut design space, you need to group all the pieces.

HOW TO CUT THE TEMPLATES 

Use a cutting machines such as Cricut or Silhouette cameo to cut the template or use scissors and craft knife to cut by hand:

CRICUT

- Upload the SVG file in Cricut Design space.

- If you have a scoring wheel or scoring stylus, make sure to use the SVG files with solid lines and remember to set up the score lines, before sending to cut. Check out my tutorial to learn how to set up score lines in cricut design design space.

Dashed lines are intended to be cut, so you don’t need any scoring tool.

SILHOUETTE CAMEO

- If you use a silhouette machine, make sure to upload the DXF file with dashed lines in silhouette studio.

BY HAND

- I recommend using the PDF file to cut by hand. The PDF file template fits in Letter size paper and A4 size paper.

Instructions:

1. Print all the pieces of the template on white paper. 

2. Trace on cardstocks and acetate.

3. Score along the lines using a bone folder.

4. Cut the template with scissors and craft knife.
