Shaker Acetate Gable Box Template for Cricut and Silhouette - Favor box template

Welcome!

Today, I'm going to show a new design of gable box template! 

This shaker gable box has become my favorite because it's a clear box with 360° shaker! So you can decorate all the sides of the box inside and out and it'll always be a shaker box!

Also, the size of the box is a little bit of large, so you can fill it with a lot of goodies!

 Here are the supplies to make the box:

- Shaker Acetate Gable Box Template

- Cutting machine: Cricut or Silhouette, or Scissors and craft knife

- Acetate sheets 

- Silicone glue for the acetate (Similar glue)

- Ultra fine tip bottle (Similar bottle, check out the tips below)

- Precision Craft Glue

- 80 lb cardstocks 

- 5mm Double sided transparent tape

- Non-Stick scissors

- Beads, sequins or confetti, etc

- Cricut tools

- Craft knife and mat

- Bone folder

- Mini clips

- Optional: Foam tape

Find the Shaker Acetate Gable Box Template

The Shaker Acetate Gable Box template comes in SVG file for Cricut, DXF file for Silhouette, PDF and PNG file to cut with scissors and a craft knife.

Templates are in two parts and you can cut the pieces using the Letter size paper or A4 size paper.

Please note this is a blank template, so it does not include the images or pattern. You can decorate the box with the theme of your choice.

How to cut the template

Use your cutting machines such as Cricut or Silhouette cameo to cut the template or use scissors and craft knife to cut by hand:

CRICUT

- Upload the SVG file in Cricut Design space.

- If you have a scoring wheel or scoring stylus, make sure to use the SVG files with solid lines and remember to set up the score lines, before sending to cut. Check out my tutorial to learn how to set up score lines in cricut design design space.

Dashed lines are intended to be cut, so you don’t need any scoring tool.

SILHOUETTE CAMEO

- If you use a silhouette machine, make sure to upload the DXF file with dashed lines in silhouette studio.

BY HAND

- I recommend using the PDF file to cut by hand. The PDF file template fits in Letter size paper and A4 size paper.

Instructions:

1. Print all the pieces of the template on white paper. 

2. Trace on cardstocks and acetate.

3. Score along the lines using a bone folder.

4. Cut the template with scissors and craft knife.

TIPS: 

- The template comes in a zipped folder, you need to unzip the files to your computer.

• Mac: just double click the zipped folder to unzip it. 
• Windows PC, right click the zipped folder and choose Extract Here or Extract All.
• Phone or tablet: You will probably need an app to extract the files.

- For best results, I recommend using 80 lb cardstock. 

- To use the ultra fine tip bottle, I filled the bottle with 70% silicone glue approx and 30% rubbing alcohol approx. I combined them to make the glue more liquid to pass through the ultra fine tip.

- If you want to resize the SVG file in Cricut design space, you need to group all the pieces.
