Shaker Gable Box Template for Cricut and Silhouette

New Gable box template is now available! 

This Shaker Gable Box has an inside shaker and it's a blank template so you can customize this box with your favorite theme!

The template includes files for Cricut, Silhouette cameo or to cut with your scissors!

SUPPLIES

- Shaker Gable Box Template

- Cutting machine: Cricut or Silhouette, or Scissors and craft knife

- Acetate sheets 

- Strong craft glue (Similar glue)

- 65 lb Card stocks or 80 lb card stocks 

- Precision Craft Glue

- Confetti, sequins, etc

- Cricut tools

- Bone folder

- Mini clips

- Optional: Foam tape

FIND THE SHAKER GABLE BOX TEMPLATE

The Shaker Gable Box templates are in SVG file for Cricut, DXF file for Silhouette, PDF and PNG file to cut with scissors.

Templates come in two parts and you can cut the pieces using the Letter size paper or A4 size paper.

Please note this is a blank template, so it does not include the images or pattern. You can decorate the box with the theme of your choice.

HOW TO OPEN THE TEMPLATE

- Template comes in a zipped folder, you need to unzip the files to your computer.

• Mac: just double click the zipped folder to unzip it. 
• Windows PC, right click the zipped folder and choose Extract Here or Extract All.
• Phone or tablet: You will probably need an app to extract the files.

HOW TO CUT THE TEMPLATE

Use your cutting machines such as Cricut or Silhouette cameo to cut the template or use scissors and craft knife to cut by hand:

CRICUT

- Upload the SVG file in Cricut Design space.

- If you have a scoring wheel or scoring stylus, make sure to use the SVG files with solid lines and remember to set up the score lines, before sending to cut. Check out my tutorial to learn how to set up score lines in cricut design design space.

Dashed lines are intended to be cut, so you don’t need any scoring tool.

SILHOUETTE CAMEO

- If you use a silhouette machine, make sure to open the DXF file with dashed lines in silhouette studio.

BY HAND

- I recommend using the PDF file to cut by hand. The PDF file template fits in Letter size paper and A4 size paper.

Instructions:

1. Print all the pieces of the template on white paper. 

2. Trace on cardstocks and acetate.

3. Score along the lines using a bone folder.

4. Cut the template with scissors and craft knife.

Tips: 

- I recommend using 80 lb cardstock for best results. 

- To use the ultra fine tip bottle, I filled the bottle with 70% silicone glue approx and 30% rubbing alcohol approx. I combined them to make the glue more liquid to pass through the ultra fine tip.

- If you want to resize the SVG file in Cricut design space, you need to group all the pieces.
