- Cutting machine such as Cricut or Silhouette cameo or scissors
- Strong craft glue (Similiar glue)
- Confetti and sequins
CRICUT
- I recommend using SVG file in Cricut Design space.
- If you have a scoring wheel or scoring stylus, make sure to use the SVG files with solid lines and remember to set up the score lines, before sending to cut. Check out my tutorial to learn how to set up score lines in cricut design design space.
Dashed lines are intended to be cut, so you don’t need any scoring tool.
SILHOUETTE CAMEO
- If you use a silhouette machine, upload the DXF file in silhouette studio.
BY HAND
- I recommend using the PDF file to cut by hand. The PDF file template comes in Letter size paper.
- Print all the pieces of the template on paper, then trace onto card stock and acetate, fold the scored lines and cut them out.
The box templates come in two forms (Solid and two parts). The solid part fits in a 12” x 12” card stock, meanwhile each piece of the two parts template fits in letter size paper or A4 size paper.
This is a blank template, so it does not include the images or pattern. You can decorate the box with the theme of your choice.
You can get the templates in this Shop link or in my Etsy store.
Also, it includes a Youtube video assembly video tutorial
- The template comes in a zipped folder, you need to unzip the files to your computer.
- If you want to unzip the files to your cell phone or tablet, you will probably need an app to extract the files.
- Please note, the holes are 0.25" wide approx, you can also put a ribbon through the holes to close the box.
- To add patterns to the embellisments in cricut design space, I have a tutorial on how to add patterns in cricut.
- When you resize the box in your cutting machine software, make sure to group all the pieces of the template, Check out my cricut tutorial.
