Hello.
I’m happy to share the tutorial of my first shaker
cake topper with strip.
This template includes a strip, which means no foam nor
chipboard is required to create the shaker part for the sequins, confetti and
even mini pomp poms!

- 65 lb card stock or other thicker card stock
- Clear craft glue (Similar glue)
- Glue gun
- Cutting machine or scissors and craft knife
- Double sided foam tape
- Sequins, confetti, mini pomp poms, etc
- Acrylic stick (Similar), bamboo skewers or paper straw

CRICUT
- Be sure to upload the SVG file in Cricut Design space.
- Remember to set up the score lines of the strip, before sending to cut. Check out my tutorial to learn how to set up score lines in cricut design design space.
- If you want to resize the box, make sure to group all the pieces of the template.
SILHOUETTE CAMEO
- If you using a silhouette machine, I recommend using a DXF file.
BY HAND
- I recommend using the PDF file to cut by hand. The PDF file template comes in Letter size paper.
- First, print out the template on card stock, then cut with scissors or craft knife. Note: You’ll need to print out the acetate template on paper, then trace onto acetate and card stock.
- You can also print all the pieces of the template on paper, then trace onto card stock and acetate and cut them out.
I made two videos where I show differents technique to put the strip to make the shaker cake topper:
1st TECHNIQUE
2nd TECHNIQUE
This shaker cake topper includes a strip to make the shaker part, so you don’t need to cut a foam layer. Template comes in SVG, DXF, PDF and PNG formats.
You can get the template in my shop or in my Etsy shop.
- You can use the template in two ways: The scallop cake topper and the circle cake topper
- The template includes an optional solid strip, please note this solid strip fits only in the 12" x 24" mat of your cutting machine software.
