How to make a Shaker favor box with handle

In today’s post, I’ll show you how to make this shaker box with handle! This shaker box is a fun option for your celebrations!

Supplies needed:

- Shaker box with handle template

- Silicone glue or silicona liquida (Similar glue)

- Card stock (At least 65 lb up to 80 lb) 

- Acetate sheet 

- Cutting machine or scissors

- Sequins

- Bone folder

- Optional: Double sided foam tape

Tips to cut the templates

Templates can be used in cutting machines such as Cricut or Silhouette cameo:

CRICUT

- If you use a Cricut machine, make sure to upload the SVG file in Cricut Design space.

- To score the lines in cricut design space, be sure to use the SVG files with solid lines and remember to set up the score lines, before sending to cut. Check out my tutorial to learn how to set up score lines in cricut design design space.

Dashed lines are intended to be cut, so you don’t need any scoring tool.

- If you want to resize the box, make sure to group all the pieces of the template.  

SILHOUETTE CAMEO

- I recommend using a DXF file with silhouette cameo

BY HAND

- I recommend using the PDF file to cut by hand. The PDF file template comes in Letter size paper.

- First, print out the template on card stock, then cut with scissors or craft knife. Note: You’ll need to print out the acetate window template and embellisments on paper, then trace onto acetate and card stock.

- You can also print all the pieces of the template on paper, then trace onto card stock and acetate and cut them out.

Get the shaker box template

You can get the shaker box template in my Etsy store. The template includes a SVG file for Cricut, DXF file for Silhouette cameo, PDF and PNG to cut with scissors. 

This is a blank template, so it does not include the images or pattern. You can decorate the box with the theme of your choice.

- The template comes in a zipped folder, you need to unzip the files to your computer.

• Windows PC: Right click the zipped folder and choose Extract Here or Extract All. 
• Mac: Double click the zipped folder to unzip it.

- To unzip the files to your mobile device or tablet, you will probably need an app to extract the files.
