Shaker boxes with straw handle

Create these cute shaker boxes for your party or any celebration! The shaker boxes come in two sizes small and large!  

These are blank templates, so it does not include the images or pattern. You can decorate the box with the theme of your choice.

You can use a paper straw to make a handle or make a ribbon!

Supplies

- Shaker Favor Boxes templates (Find them at the bottom of the post)

- Card stocks (At least 65 lb up to 80 lb card stock)

- Acetate sheets

- Cutting machine or Scissors and craft knife 

- Bone folder

- Silicone glue (Similar glue)

- Mini clothepins or clips

- Sequins, confetti or beads

- Scissors

- Paper straw or ribbon

- Double sided foam tape (Optional)

How to unzip the the templates files

- The template comes in a zipped folder, you need to unzip the files to your computer.

• Windows PC: Right click the zipped folder and choose Extract Here or Extract All. 
• Mac: Double click the zipped folder to unzip it.

- To unzip the files to your mobile device or tablet, you will probably need an app to extract the files.

Tips:

- I recommend using 80 lb card stock because the material is thicker than 65 lb cardstock.

- To close the box, you can use a paper straw or ribbon Check out this video to see how close the box.

Instructions to cut the templates

Templates can be used in cutting machines such as Cricut or Silhouette cameo:

CRICUT

- I recommend using SVG file in Cricut Design space.

- If you have a scoring wheel or scoring stylus, make sure to use the SVG files with solid lines and remember to  set up the score lines, before sending to cut. Learn how to set up score lines in cricut design design space here.

Dashed lines are intended to be cut, so you don’t need any scoring tool.

SILHOUETTE CAMEO

- If you use a silhouette machine, make sure to upload the DXF file in silhouette studio.

BY HAND

- I recommend using the PDF files to cut by hand. The PDF file templates come in Letter size paper.

- Before making the shaker boxes, print out the boxes templates on card stock. Note: You’ll need to print out the acetate window template and embellisment on paper, then trace onto acetate and card stock.
