DIY Folded Paper Heart - Valentines Day Decor

Hello everybody!

We start with the Valentine's Day tutorials! Today, I’ll show you how to make these paper hearts to decorate your home or any place you want!

There are two ways to make the folded paper hearts and, so you can choose the way you like or make them both ways.

VIDEO TUTORIAL

PAPER HEART 1

Materials

- Colored paper

- Scissors

- Pencil

- Glue

Steps 

1. Draw a circle on a piece of colored paper.

2. Cut out the circle.

3. Fold the circle paper accordion style. Then, fold in half.

4. Apply glue and attach the two halves together.

5. You’re done!

PAPER HEART 2

Materials

- Template (Find it at the bottom of the post)

- Colored paper

- Scissors

- Pencil

- Ruler

- Glue

Instructions

1. Download the template below and print on white paper.

2. Cut a strip of colored paper. (30 cm x 6 cm)

3. Using a ruler and bone folder, score between 1 cm apart.  

4. Fold in half the strip of paper.

5. Trace the template on the paper and cut it out.

6. Fold it accordion style.

7. Apply glue to one of the ends.

8. Pull the ends together and attach.

9. Make two paper circles and glue the circles to both sides of the heart.

10. You’re done!
