Hi everyone! Today I’m making a craft for kids using toilet paper rolls. This kid craft is a fun activity to make at home with kids. Let’s make this fish craft!
Materials Needed:
- White paper or white card stock
- Toilet paper rolls
- Bubble wrap
- Paint
- Googly eyes
- Scissors
- Glue

Steps to make it:
Step 1: Cut a piece of bubble wrap and paint the bubble surface with light blue paint. Then, press down the bubble wrap on white paper and peel it away gently. Repeat this step until you complete your sheet. Note: You can leave some space in blank to place the fishes, I forgot but I like how it turned out at the end.
Step 2: Paint your toilet paper rolls in your choice of colors and let them dry.
Step 3: Flatten your toilet paper rolls and then cut around 1 cm in size.
Step 4: Use 2 pieces of paper roll for your fish. Fold one piece of your paper roll in half to form the tail of the fish. Then, take other piece of paper roll and glue the pieces together.
Step 5: Apply glue to the back of your fishes and glue down to your paper.
Step 6: Paint inside the body of the fishes.
Step 7: Glue the googly eyes to each fish.
You’re done! What do you think of this fish craft? I find this craft adorable and perfect to make with kids! Plus, you can recycle or reuse your toilet paper rolls and bubble wrap. Also, I made my own googly eyes with pills package. Can you believe it?
Check out the tips:
- To get light blue paint, mix blue paint and white paint.
- Look for non-toxic paint.
- If you use brown paper rolls, you may need to paint two or more coats.
- You can also glue the fish tail to the paper and then the body.
