How to make a candy box - Octagonal Favor Box

Hello!

In today’s post, I’m making an Octagonal Favor Box that you can make for your birthday party, baby shower, wedding or any occasion! Also, this a shaker box so your guest will adore the box as favor.

OCTAGONAL FAVOR BOX

MATERIALS NEEDED:

- Octagonal Favor Box Template

- Colored cardstock (65 lb up to 80 lb card stock)

- Acetate

- Cutting machine or Scissors and craft knife

- Clear craft glue 

- Sequins and confetti

- Foam tape (Optional)

TIPS TO CUT THE FAVOR BOX TEMPLATE

There are two ways to cut the template:

CUTTING MACHINE

- You can use a cutting machine such as Cricut or Silhouette cameo. 

- I recommend using SVG file with Cricut

- I recommend using DXF file with Silhouette cameo.

- Templates include solid score lines and dashed score lines. Solid score lines are for those who have a scoring wheel or scoring stylus. 

Dashed score lines are intended to be cut, so you don’t need any scoring tool.

BY HAND

-  I recommend using the PDF files, If you cut by hand.

- Before making the box, print out the Octagonal box template on cardstock. Note: You’ll need to print out the acetate window template on paper, then trace onto acetate.

-  You can also print all the pieces of the template on paper, then trace onto cardstock and acetate and cut them out.
