Today, I'm posting a baby shower idea. I haven't posted any baby shower ideas since march and I'm very happy to finally show you the tutorial of my Diaper Card Templates! Let's see how to make the card!
DIAPER CARD
The diaper card is so cute and perfect for a baby shower! You could use the card as an invitation or for the baby shower games. If you're not hosting a baby shower, you can add this card to your gift. Surely, the future mom will find it adorable!

SUPPLIES
- Diaper Card templates (Find them here)
- Invitation card and tag
- Cardstock (Colors of your choice)
- Satin ribbon
- Bone folder
- Glue
- Scissors or cutting machine
- Ruler
HOW TO CUT THE TEMPLATES
You can use your cutting machine or your scissors and craft knife to cut by hand.
Cutting machine
- If you use your cutting machine, be sure to use the appropriate file ( SVG, PNG or DXF file) It'll depend on your cutting machine.
By hand
- If you cut by hand, use the printable PDF or PNG files. To open the PDF files, you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader, you can download for free here.
- First, print out the templates on cardstock and use your scissor to cut. Also, you can print out on paper, then trace onto cardstock and cut it out.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Choose one of the templates forms. I'm using the template of two parts.
2. Cut out the template using your scissors or cutting machine.
3. Score along the lines using your ruler and bone folder.
4. Fold all scored edges.
5. Apply glue to attach the two parts.
6. Glue the invitation and tag to the diaper card.
7. Put ribbon through the slits and tie a bow.
8. You're done!
I've made a video tutorial of the diaper card. Hope you find it useful!
FIND THE DIAPER CARD TEMPLATES
I've created Diaper Card Templates in SVG, DXF, EPS, PNG and PDF files. They come in two forms (Solid and two parts) The templates are available at the bottom of the post or in my Etsy Shop and you can find them here. Don't forget to check out the tips to know how to use the files.
Besides, I've created an editable invitation card and tag in PDF file, you can get it as a freebie when you buy the templates.
TIPS
- For best results, I recommend using cardstock from 65 lb / 176 gsm to 100 lb / 270 gsm.
- To open the PDF files, you'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader.
- To edit the editable invitation card, you need to download to your computer. Because you won't be able to edit this in your internet browser or in Preview/ PDF reader. Then, unzip the file to your computer and fill in your own text in the highlighted fields on the invitation. Finally, save the changes you make and print on matte photo paper or any white paper.
